Last Resort AB VM001 Hi Shoes in Mustard Yellow. A striking variation on the staple Last Resort AB VM011 Hi, this mustard yellow edition has durable brushed suede uppers, a full length 100% cotton lacing system and custom features catered specifically towards skateboarders. With minimal detailing but great attention to comfort, durability and unisex styling, the uppers have a smooth, high quality finish with stylised stitching around the collar and a double stitched ripple-effect laces border. Helping to keep the foot securely in place during demanding skate sessions, the cotton lacing system sits on top of a lightweight tongue that has been shaped to wrap around the front of the foot, complete with a two tone branded label around its top edge. The padded PU collar will soften further over time and embossed ‘Break Free’ lettering presents one of the brand’s key taglines, split across the back of either heel. Throughout the inside of the shoe a lightweight fabric lining has been added and sits alongside a custom branded insole whilst on the outside of the shoe the rubber sole is strengthened by a matching tone foxing tape line. Completing the design, a grip and stability focused pattern with angled shapes that won’t collect gravel.

As the latest project to be announced by Pontus Alv, a skateboarder, creative and videographer who is well known for founding Malmö based Polar Skate Co., Last Resort AB introduced their debut collection of footwear designs in autumn 2020 and have since established a line of varying colourways and a hi-top variation of their signature design. Reminiscent of much-loved skate shoes from the 1970’s, the Last Resort AB VM001 Hi is enriched with custom features selected according to the preferences and experiences of the company’s founders.
