Arriving as part of the first release of styles for the Janoski’s anniversary, Nike SB are celebrating a decade of the Stefan Janoski signature silhouette with a run of designs that look to different chapters within the pro skaters life. First up, spring styles look to the theme of ‘Origins’ and offer a natural, raw aesthetic.

Hairy cinder orange dyed suede has been used across the uppers with a puckered, hand-sewn seam curving around the front of the toes. The tongue is a continuation of the same fabric and includes distinctive embossed Nike SB x Stefan Janoski branding at the top. On either side, cut through Nike Swoosh ticks highlight a shaped panel upon the uppers which leads to the back of the heel. The traditional lacing system has had a update with leather laces which brings additional texture as well as durability. Within the supportive mid-top silhouette, a cork sockliner is an unexpected characteristic that offers cushioning and adds to the natural theme of the design. Vulcanized construction bonds the uppers to the rubber outsole which aids a consistent flick whilst also supplying quality boardfeel and flexibility. Furthering this, specific areas of the outsole have been thinned to result in a lightweight and adaptable feel.

Inspired by Janoski’s love for hand craftsmanship, this is the first arrival to be revealed within a collection of specially designed anniversary styles. Offering a hybrid moccasin style that boasts traditional Nike SB skate-orientated tech, this surprising design sets the tone for what’s to come, which is sure to be an exciting year for the partnership.
